HI guys Ive just bought a P38 4.6 and want to tow my twin axle 5.9m caravan. Ive read the handbook and it says turn off the EAS, now my question is, is this the best way. If it is do I switch it off before I hook up or after when its all level

when i tow my trailer, i start the engine, keep doors closed so that it rises to normal level, then press the button to lock the suspension in that position. not sure if its right, but it seems to work ok

Read it again, it doesnt say switch it off. It actually tells you to press the inhibit height change button so that it stays in standard level. The EAS will still operate and self levelling will still happen.

If you've an adjustable hitch and need to set it for your 'van to get it all level make sure you've started the engine and let it level its self before adjusting the hitch hight.
