hello

just a quick question

can a freelander be towed with the 4 wheels on the ground with the prop in place?

cheers

I would have thought you have to have all 4 wheels on the ground and turning or the VCU would lock up and cause all sorts of problems. (thats why you can't test the brakes on the rolling road at its MOT )

Can be towed with all four wheels on the ground, but they do say for short distances. (I think i read less than 50 miles??)

I towed mine for 6 miles when purchased and that was a challenge as the engine would not run and so no Power Steering or servo assisted braking!!

Regards,

Steve

It was also illegal.

Naughty boy .....

do 100 lines ....
I must not use an a-frame except for the shortest possible distance from the scene of an incident to the nearest place of safety.

Maybe so - However a fully functional freelander is only ever going to be half the vehicle a defender is!

Agreed - I would like a defender, but a) can't afford one whilst buying a house, b) dont really need the extra off road ability and c) dont like reading about condensation etc or accessories being removed at night!
