I'm interested in a range rover but unfortunatley for me it's located at the other end of the country for me. I've been thinking of renting a trailer and towing it up here but I don't really have a car thats capable of that (i think).

I've got a Hyundai Santa Fe which according to this site means it won't be able to since the max towing weight is 2000kg and the max ball weight is only 80? Can anyone confirm this for me, not sure what most of the terms mean anyway.

Does anyone know anything else I could rent from the north east and use to get this rangie back? Or can any of you guys help me out in any way?

Thanks alot,
Jack

Is the Rangey road legal. If so you could "Breakdown in it" and get RAC/AA to recover you.

Get the train and drive back?
Get a mate to drive you, and driive back?
Take trailer behind the Santa fe...then use Range Rover to tow it back?
Join AA/RAC etc and "break down"?
or any one of dozens of other possibilities....use your head!

Ah forgot to mention it needs a few repairs to it to pass the MOT , so it has no MOT, tax, insurance or anything so driving it back isn't really possible, which is a shame as thats what would have been the easiest!

There is a Company that works like Ebay but for couriers. You list what needs shifting and location and destination. and peeps BId for the contract. Ask Daft about em. BUt be careful that you check out the peeps bidding or you can get in deep ****.

Can't you Daft..

Your Hyundai will struggle to tow a Range Rover Classic + trailer. Range Rover P38s and L322s are completely out of the question, since they're both way over 2 tonnes before you count the trailer weight.

Best bet, buy one closer to home... there are squillions of used Rangies on the market
