towbar - self fit

my first post, hello !!

1) is it easy to fit a towbar to my disco?
i have had a look underneath and it would seem to be just four bolts, two already threaded behind rear bumper.

2) is there a more recommended manufacturer.

3) pre wire electrics. are they really that easy as plug and play and where is the socket located/ looks like.

visiting various web sites it really could be the difference of £100 if fitted myself.

hope this is an easy question(s) for starters, as there seems to be alot of informed users around here.

wiring plug is located behind the RH rear tailight assembly...4 screws and its all there.

I dont think you can go far wrong with York, Witter or Brink.

Very good and lots of options/prices. I would have thought you would have to get the genuine wiring harness to utilise the LR plug on the car though.

Obviously, they can be heavy so a extra pair of hands or a good trolley jack would help.

have located the plug, now to buy and fit the towbar.

easy peasy 55 mins start to finish.
the electrics plug was very easy.
