Thinking of removing it as I'll never be towing anyone or anything. I've removed the tow eye weeks ago so is it a case of unbolting the 3 bolts right and left and dropping the bar?
Three bolts left and right, and two vertical either side of towbar extension ( T piece)
Surely those 2 bolts either side don't need to be removed as they are attached to the main cross member which is secured by the 3 bolts either side of the car?Don't loose the 2 vertical 12mm bolts. They are an unusual fine thread, which take some hunting to find
I wanna remove it not butcher it but thanks for your inputAngle grinder .. 's all that needs to be said, just grind away ..

See what you mean about those vertical bolts now I've looked at the link by dippypud. They look a bar steward to undo what with the rust on them.Don't loose the 2 vertical 12mm bolts. They are an unusual fine thread, which take some hunting to find

I'm eager. I've sprayed em with WD40 specialist fast release penetrating crap and I'll see what happens tomorrowSoak 'em in penetrating slosh for a couple of days then warm them a bit ...
Fraid soSo they are there?
Sorted. 15mm socket. Weird because Dippypuds link suggests a 17mm which was why I was having grief cause it didn't fitDoes anyone know what size socket undoes the 2 screws that go through the bar as I'm having grief getting a socket set up there working blind? Thanks
