Hi Guys ive just fitted my new tow bar (£114 towsure bargain £165 in total) and i now need to wire my single socket electrics however on looking into the depths of electrical hell there are cables every where .. i'm not sure where to start. Normally i just tap into the rear cables feeding the lights, but in this case there are sockets, plugs and cables all over the place and i'm thinking that surly one of them is a towing connection point !! Can some one advise please me... I've also got this low voltage unit to put in-line of the wiring to assist in the ECU monitoring of any bulbs that should blow.. but thats not the problem, i'm unsure where to start .. Thanks

You need to download RAVE from Greenoval and you'll find all the info you need. There will be plugs there for towbar leccy. Probably similar to my p38 which has one on drivers side for main trailer leccy, and one on pass side for additional socket.

if they are designed for your car there should be 5 plugs, one goes behind the n/s light cluster into the control unit and 2 into each of the rear light cluster then u just have to wire the socket, should be plug n play.

Great Thanks the only prob ive got is that ive purchased the universal electrics so ive got to wire it firstly into the voltage droper then wire each cable seperatly into the lights. Ive not bought the type that comes with a socket/plug .. too mean i guess as they wanted £98 for the plug in type !!

behind the drivers side panel in the boot is where the electric socket for towbar wiring is, you cant just tap in to the wiring on the 322 you need the seperate ecu and wiring, then its just a plug and play.

I'd definitely agree with that. The LR kit locks the ride height, cancels the rear PDC, etc. It ain't cheap : the wiring harness for the single 12N 7-pin socket is £69 (VUH000030) and the trailer towing module is £63 (YWC000840) but it's dead easy to fit - and it works.

L322's use a CANBUS wiring system, instead of wires for everything, they have a central Spinal cors, with cables coming off. If you just tap into them, they will send all sorts of fault messages to the ecu. Buy the proper connector for it....
