Top speed?

What's the most you've gotten out of your disco 1 300 tdi on a flat surface? (on an off road 50 mile long runway ofc )

where's the options for a 200tdi? some of us are simpler folk

Did you feel like you were landing a space shuttle? That's how mine felt at 90, was kinda fun. But then I ran out of runway.

Or asked him to speak up as ya couldn't hear him while he was hiding on the floor in the rear footwell.

Got 100 out of mine, very long gentle downhill gradient, took ages but the old girl did it, for areound 30 seconds!! Checked the speed on the Sat Nav fro slightly better accuracy than hte speedo.

best i got was 90mph ( ish) but that were scary and i think it worried every one around as there were no cars coming anywhere near me

I did 102 no problem, with more to go.

Then the next day my radiator bung blew off and emptied all my water, making me think head gasket had gone.

For that reason, I'm now 90 absolute tops, really 85 max general speed.

Never been over 80 in mine, even with Alisport turbo and cooler, pump and boost mods.

Discos were never meant for high speeds

I've never done anythign to mine and 100+ was easily achieved!

Thought I'd wandered on to MAX Power forum there. By a soft roader if you want to drive that fast.:behindsofa:

Untill you come to a hill as a start to slow down as 300 Tdi's do... not much fun there. Get a V8, hills what hills, 110 on the flat and 120 down hill but only if you can stand the racket the rev limiter makes as I found out last summer in Germany .

I didn't buy it for the speed obviously but it's nice to know it was capable.

My Rav4 did 120 no worries, so I knew I was sacrificing speed.

I didn't know disco wheels were speed rated but then i've never looked, although my Goodyear tyres have an H speed rating.

I ran it to 90 the next day I bought it, mainly to test how the beast behaved ... I quickly understood it is not meant for speed !
daily use is on 55 mph roads anyway
