Hi all,

I've just purchased a 1997 discovery 2.5 tdi ( my first land rover ) it seems to be a good un and i may very well have bagged my self a bit of a bargain. What I do need help with is this........... the tool kit is missing from under the rear seat. The jack is under the bonnet so that's not an issue. my cry for help is...........

1, Where's the best/cheapest to get a tool kit ???

2, Are locking wheel nuts a standard fitment ??? yeah you guessed it, lock nuts and no key/tool

Guys and gals, I need help so hit me with millions of reply's.

Thanks

Hello & Welcome :D

You only need 3 tools for any Land Rover Product.

1. A BLOODY BIG HAMMER !!!!!

2. A ROLL OF GAFFER TAPE ( to fasten the bits back on !!!!!)

3. A CREDIT CARD !!!!!!

Only joking !!!!!!! ( CREDIT CARD OPTIONAL) !!!!!!:D

In awnser to your questions.

1. ebey for all your tools & some spare parts.

2. NO locking wheel nuts are not standard equipment. Try ringing the previous owner on the V5.

Hope that helps ??????

get a 27mm impact socket and a 3' breaker bar all you need then is a handle for the jack, as for the locking wheel nuts, if you can't get the key from the previous owner, ring your local 24hr recovery firm, all the decent ones have a special tool to remove them hope this helps ;)

i keep mine in the compartment under the passenger seat, have you looked there?,
just a thought
