Hi all,
Just got my 300 Tdi Auto back from the service (not Landrover), only to find that it has about 20mm too much oil. I checked the levels 1st thing in the morning, engine on, gear selection in 'P', 2 days after the service (and about 25 miles travelled).
I'll get the garage to take the level back down to normal levels, but is there any chance that some damage could have occured? The garage mechanic told me that he had topped the levels up by about 1/2 litre after a short run on Friday, post-service. Looking at my manual, it only takes 1/4 litre to go from empty to full on the dipstick, I wished he had known that!
Its a shame really, as he is actually a decent mechanic!
