Picked this up of ebay for £110 so decided I might as well fit it today. Made the rest up out of spare steel I had laying around. Should do a good job of ripping the front end off of the vehicle.

damn nice winch yer got there fella :D:D:D

ive often wondered what it would look like on the bumper rather than set in between the wings without the apron being there ( set back so tom speak )

damn good bargain i must say though :tea:

Yeah.. I was really toying with the idea of mounting it IN the bumper rather than on it. But in the end I decided I'd rather keep the bumper integrity and just make up a heavy plate on top. It's 6mm steel. I was going to mount it right back against the grill but I thought if you ever get a good downward angle on the winch line it will touch bumper.

Very nice, what amp alternator have you got on it cos when I fitted my winch the alternator couldn't cope with the big amps of the winch and it would flatten the battery even with the engine running!

That was one worry I had. I wouldn't think my alternator is very big (perkins diesel)
Battery is 130ah. If I have the battery flattening issue I'll have a hunt around for a beefier alternator.

.... lucky buy I'm afraid. I had been keeping an eye on fleabay for a while. There seems to be a plethora of winches on there at the moment. Not sure why. maybe ppl upgrading after crimbo?!? I saw a few broken warns too which would be worth a go at a repair.
