i got my defender 300 tdi two months ago with no service history,it has about 80,000 miles on the clock, when should the timing belt be changed?or should i just get it done to be safe, many thanks Jim.

60k miles is the official landy limit. some/most landy experts say 48k is safer.
unless your belt looks brand new, better to replace it.
could save you a huge invoice!

Yea I make it a rule that any new car I just get the timing belt done. I would blast one on.

No harm.
