having read posts on here, tightening on full lock means vcu which can lead to other nasties, after contacting the dealer , (car under warranty) he says its perfectly normal, and no need for any attension, anyway i have requested he has a look at it, so i would like a little more info from you chaps before i see him, thanks

yes it is normal, all freelanders wind up on full lock.

its normal dunt wurry be happy . . . .
Tell ya what does annoy me, TYRE DRAG at lower speed on er corners - fink its tyre drag - probly somefing else bust - dont annoy me that much tho- Gaylanders Rock!
