Throttle cable gone wrong

its got a little one between the pedal linkage and the distributor pump its about 10 inches long, it hasnt completely gone there are still some strands of it left but the rest of it holds the throttle open then disconnects the pedal

between the pedal linkage and the DISTRIBUTOR PUMP? wat the hell is one of them?

and it hold the throttle open then disconnects the pedal! so ya pedal aint connected to the throttle?

the std S3 has a lever system to the carbytooter.

mhm its obviously a diesel as they do indeed have a small throttle cable from the linkage to the fuel injection pump
 
As it be a diesel it has a high pressue pump that feeds the the injectors, (no carbratooter) this fits in the hole that would be taken up by the dizzy on the petrol variant of the block, anywho between the throttle arm on this and the throttle linkage on the bulk head there is a cable as i said before its aboot 10" long i will get a photo of it if this would help

yur plse - always willing to learn - cant help as fur ya cable tho, but it looks like Stig knows what yu is talkin aboot.

mine actually has a cable - coz its a 2.5petrol - but there are loads of levers layin around the engine bay:eek:

yu cud try halfrauds - maybe a bike cable wud work?
