Hello to all

I have one question and a situation

The situation is. Its the second time this week it happen . When i turn off the the car, he runs even when i remove the key then its shuts off!!! What can be causing that?
I am in Portugal its very hot , could it be a reason???!!!

Question is...why our cars use drop links like they are going out of facion???! I use Mayle HD and they last for 6 months I dont go off road usually regular roads an motorways......
Is there a engeneering error? could it be fixed? I know weight as a very big reason for the wear of those parts....but???!!!

Many thanks

First off, stop driving it. Running on with a diesel means uncontrolled fuel (usually engine oil) is getting into the intake of the engine. This can lead to a condition known as diesel runaway, which if not stopped quickly (most people don't know how to stop it), is normally terminal for the engine.

Buy genuine LR drop links from LR, and get a 2 year warranty.

The other way is to make some racing car type drop links that use Rose Joints (Google Rose Joints), but making up rose jointed drop links would cost more than buying genuine LR drop links from an LR dealer.

I have add some low ash oil 2 stroke to the fuel ....could it be the reason? he only runs for a sec no more than that....and there is no increse on rpm it just idle SO i guess its not the condition ....diesel runaway. its been 3 days without doing it..did on Sunday night then Monday night were it still had that oil i add. Yesterday i have fill half a tank and so far nothing

No. The fuel stops the second the ignition is turned off. The only reason for running on is fuel from an uncontrolled source, which is usually oil from the breather or turbo getting into the intake in sufficient quantities to run the engine.
This needs sorting before driving, as diesel runaway will destroy the engine.

Less than a week ago i have replaced the air filter oil filter and the breeder filter I made 650km all was normal!!!!
What to look for ?? Where to look for ??
I also clean the egr and the system had no or almostnothing in oil in the pipes...
When it did it was at idle there was not rpm increase whatsoever

Are the Lr OEM Delphi drop links? if yes those last for 6 months ...

Look in the boost hoses at the front of the engine to see how much oil is in there.

LR normally supply Delphi suspension parts, but LR give a 2 year warranty, so a failure in 2 years will get you a replacement.

There is most none there. I have cleaned the temp sensor so all of them came out. There is almost no oil in them...if you clean with a rag almost no oil will get it dirty.
When it did it was after stop in the garge. it was on idle . I turn off the key (it was on idle ,750rpm) i turn of and for half a second or second it continue to run and then quit. There was no smoke or even a slightly increase on RPM and no smoke..this car doesnt smoke only a bit on accel and you can only see it at night

If there's no oil in the boost hoses, then it sounds ok. Monitor it though, as it shouldn't run on at all.
