Yes it's normal but you also need to swr your setup as a poor swr can damage your cb. There is a good thread on LRUK in the electronics/ice section.

There usually pretty close but you still need to fine tune them.
yeah , thats what i reckoned , all i need to do is open the wee grub screw and lift or lower the whip to set it yeah?
i havent used one since the 80's , lots of peeps chatting back then , is it still as busy nowadays , wot with people chattin all over tinterweb and all?
