As above Salisbury series rear axle.
Just about got it all back together but the bloody half shafts are playing up, They made this noise the other day but the next day when I put them in the worked perfect as they should . Now today when I put them in I get this on Vid, kept taking them out and refitting a few times but now the dam things are stuck will not pull back out. Whats going on in there .
Having an unlucky weekend, when I thought I was going to get loads done too :(

Can you remove the rear cover and se what’s going on, if it’s been working previously can’t see how it can be damaged
IT was moving ok up untill now, mind you its just been stood on chassis for about 5 or 6 years but heard it was ok before, no problems with the front.

Got just about everything back on but as tittot said I think I've shoved them in to far, as in pic, but the bloody thing's won't move now, they still turn but can't get them to come back out a bit.

You could get a bolt into the thread in the end of the shaft put a mole grips on it and tap for out to release or try putting flange on back to front circlip on and lever on two sided between flange and hub.

Thanks Mate after fiddling on for hours the long one has just popped out, just the short one now, will try what you said.

The mole grip worked perfect Mate Thanks, got everything back together and you were right Its moving and sounding perfect now, can't find bloody circlips so left just enough to get them on tomorrow . Do you know the torque for bolts in flange ?

You can guess how I know stuff about landys, mostly been there done that. :D
I never bother with torque settings except where it is important for evenness like head bolts.
Other things like flange bolts use the right size spanner and lean on it.
You may have noticed that the bigger the spanner size the longer it is, this is deliberate so average jo can lean on it and tighten to about the right amount of torque.
Of course there are some wimps that can't tighten a 10mm enough:( And some Neanderthal's that should not be let near a spanner:eek: because they are a spanner.;)
