Hi all,
I'm new to this site, and need a little help :D

I have a lovely freelander 2.0di L series, been great since I got her but now I have the '3 Amigos' I know there are loads of threads about this but bear with me.

I have check the ohms across the abs sensors, all read ~995 ohms.
All abs rings are in good condition and not split.
No dust / build up in the air gaps.
Front brakes in good condition, recently changed, discs, pads, off caliper.
Rear brakes good condition.
Brake light switch replaced.
Abs actually works.
Tc works.
Hdc is disconnected from g/s switch.
Tried all sorts of diagnostic equipment none connect to ecu.

I am losing hair over this lol, worst bit is it only started on the drive to the mot station and won't go away, grrr.

Please any suggestions are welcome.
 
Ouch - on the way to the MOT station - what a bugger!

TBH you will need to read the codes. Take it to a stealer or indie (LR) garage if necessary. It shouldn't cost much.

I'm not sure if there are any members on here in/near Bournemouth who have a code reader. Don't know if this is the sort of thing to use LZIR for? Its not an emergency, but LZIR does show if people have diag kit. @blue beasty @The Mad Hat Man ?

I've had the 3 Amigos twice on my L Series and both times its been the shuttle valves that have been faulty and I've replaced the Wabco pump/modulator.

Funnily enough I also got the 3 Amigos last weekend when I got stuck climbing a gravel bank, but it then went down to 2 Amigos and 1/2 hour later after a stop they went out :)
 
The shuttle valve connections can fail, like they do on the D2. This is cheap and easy to fix, with a kit that's available. However you need to read the codes, to find the exact cause.

Clearing the codes won't necessarily fix the issue. If the fault is still present, the code and lights will reappear. But having the codes, will help you decide which component needs replacing;)
 
Woo hoo!!

Found out I had missed something, it turns out to be the osf abs ring :D cheap fix for me.

Just my luck though for it to break on the way to the mot lol
