Well today I finished the list of jobs that came with the car and having this forum has helped no end in getting on with the work in hand either through genuine help or simple sarcasme. So long may it continue...

Jobs completed:

All oils,
fuel, oil, air and pollen filters,
Last new air bag on the suspension(why the previous owner left one not done is beyond me),
New coolant,
Changed neutral select switch (manual box) but ended up fitting....
Switch in cubby hole to simulate being in neutral to enable H/L,
Waxoyled chassis (and me),
New foam to drivers seat (and my fingers still ache from all those poxy bent bits of metal),
2nd hand PIS powerbox; WOW.
Removed wire from remoter reciever as I had a flat battery after two days.

The only thing left undone is the remote keyfob does not work but I think I will live with that. The LED lights up and have tried the hold lock, hold unlock and still does not work on the buttons, oh well.

But thanks for the help and I am sure I will be here again soon!

There is a third method of synching - unlock by the key, remove and then press unlock within a few seconds. Just a normal press rather than holding it down.

The other two methods are the hold and press left and right etc etc and the 'just put in ignition' method.
