Mt N reg kicks out some smoke when I first start it up in a morning

Its not burning oil and the water levels have not dropped

2.7 deisel

Any thoughts

Check the glow plugs if one out the fuel in that cylinder will be expelled
unused and cause smoke.Soon as the rest fire and get the engine going
compression will fire the cylinder in question and the smoke will stop.
