Tdv8 4.4 hpfp timing

Hi can anybody help me how do you set the timing on 4.4 tdv8 hpfp I changed my pump and at the time I was under the impression like on the 3.6 was no timing after trying for a long time now it still won’t start I was reading a thread on here where someone said that there is timing on the 4.4 I just can’t find anything to help me setup the timing does anyone know where I can get this information from please

I think the timing is more related to the loads on the valve gear drive train rather than actual injection timing if you see what I mean?
 
Here you go - don't worry too much about the special tools, you should be able to reference the woodruff key position well enough, make sure the crank pulley has the round hole at the 9 O'clock position. Now the only variance might be if the timing mark is on the new pump gear or not (only shown in the left camshaft R&I document), it should be 180deg. from the woodruff key so you could always scribe a mark if there isn't one. Don't worry about getting it exact, you can be two teeth out either way and it'll run, if it seems a bit sluggish, then move it one way or the other a tooth at a time - but mark your starting point! you'll soon know if you're going the right way or not...
