Just doing tdi conversion on me 1985 110 N/A, bought a defender 200tdi radiator and frame specially for the job but it seems to be slightly taller than the old N/A one - it does fit and you can close the bonnet but the brackets on the tops of the wings don't hook over the lugs properly.

I was under the impression the defender 200tdi rad was a straight swap for older 4cyl diesels but when i measured the two i recon its about 10mm taller than the old one.

Can anyone confirm this or av i got confused/ballsed something up/been fobbed off with the wrong rad here?

Have a read through the (many) conversion threads..and you will see that you need to cut down the rad mounts by about 30mm :)

Yep as Ben said, all that is required is that you cut the square tops off the mounts, cut 25-30mm off the uprights and then weld the tops back on again. :)
