I've seen a lot of early td5 dash boards in tdi but no tdi ones in td5 I'm just wondering if it's straightforward like the td5 in tdi?
 
Then buy a tdi? Just seems utterly pointless. Especially since all the TD5 clocks and instrument board are ECU controlled, all you'd have is the central radio housing like in an early TD5. Not much else would be different.

Would it be possible as I can't stand tdi engines
 
But the early (98 - 01) TD5 dash is very similar to the TDI dash. Seems an awful lot of work for some very minor details that I expect could be added to the TD5 dash.

I'm talking about the dials are so it is a lot of work I won't bother
 
See what youre on about now a bit more!

Cant be done afaik. The dials/clocks/gauges on the TD5 are ECU driven the TDI are mechanical so unless you built a complicated interface its a no go.

I think the only part you can change is the warning light cluster
