Maybe I just bought a bad un but I have had endless problems with my Td5 110 Defender, starting to get annoying.
Anyway, rant over, I was wondering if anyone can help me with the latest problem. I have been losing water for a while, I finally found out where it was coming from, I think its the water pump. Also I have been hearing an intermittent whirling noise, it appears to come from the same place, it has been getting worse and so has the leak! I took off a cover (with a hose attached to it) to look inside. (very difficult to do, just like everything I have had to do so far-sorry starting to rant again) There is a seal inside that seemsto be slightly perished, instant gasketed it (is that the right thing to do?) Still leaks. Whirling noise still bad, probably wont get me to the Landrover garage (not that I can afford it at the moment) Does anyone have any experience of this problem? Why is it making that noise? Is the seal the problem? Please help me
