I got a brand new genuine Garret replacement from Island 4x4 for just under £400 about three years ago. They were by far the cheapest at the time. Its still running strong. No messing about with exchange units and deposits either.

it's the cheapest one these days too Turbocharger Turbo Td5 LR017315 (PMF500040 PMF000040) Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order. , but if you have second thoughts go for the original Land Rover one from here

No need to go LR as Island supply genuine Garret which is what LR OEM are. They just have a LR part number rather than a Garret one on the exact same turbo.
