Hi wondering if any body can help me i have a td5 discovery 2000 model and my tc comes on when i first start the car like wheels draging and then you rev it and it stops, i bought the car private and he had coloured the abs light in in marker and there is no tc bulb in it but in the hand book it says if there is a problem whith the tc the abs light will stay on which it does any help to resolve this will be gratefull thanks

i had the same problem during the week with a customers disco.traction control came on when first started to drive.it turned out to be a ABS fault it had a split pick up ring and the abs was telling the traction control it was stopped when it was in motion.put it on our computer and it said a problem in the nsf hub. had a look at the pick up ring and it was split renewed the cv with the split ring and it solved the problem.

the ring is on the bearing in the hub (sealed unit) not the cv joint

disco td5 its on the cv it does not have a magnetic bearing
