TD5 - to buy or not buy - 2nd try

Hi,

Still looking for a good TD5 110 , found another potential candidate:

Pros:
-Clear and clean MOT history
-not much corrision as far as I can tell - see videos. Also corrosion has never been raised during a MOT.



Neg:
-175k milleage

Any thoughts? Worth checking ? I am thinking of sending a mechanic over so he can have a look first.

Also, does anyone know why this car is LEZ compliant ? According to the LEZ website it is.
However, I found similar cars with 2x seats and no back windows which were not LEZ compliant.
I dont fully understand the logic but I think those models were Utility models --> commercial vehicle --> not LEZ compliant ?
The above one is a Special Vehicle edition, and hence not Commercial --> LEZ Compliant?
 
My TD5 isn't ULEZ compliant, also special vehicle, which doesn't really mean anything apart from it had some non standard spec item fitted.
Sticking seats in the back doesn't make it a station wagon, it's still a commercial hardtop/van.

I know but I am referring to LEZ compliant which is a 100 GBP charge per day. It applies only to Non-Euro 4 Commercial vehicles....
 
Pretty sure after a certain year they were all classed as commercial.
Mine is a station wagon and therefore it would cost £12.50 a day.
I was under the impression no Defender is ULEZ compliant, some just pay more than others.
No mention of LEZ payment, my son would have to pay the £100 LEZ payment though.

Do you know why he has to pay LEZ?
