Good afternoon everyone,
By way of an update,
So far:
Changed seals(genuine) and washer's after having them re seated.
Swapped out noisey fuel pump for VDO Siemens (now silent)
Changed fuel filter housing and brass thing.
New genuine filter.
Not got oil in harness or ECU.
Engine now starts on the button.
Runs fine for 7 minutes then fails.
Won't restart without a fight and squealing pump. Then starts, if not run will fire up first time every time, if you run it it fails again after 5-10 minutes.
My mechanic now at a loss..
Nothing fuel related from plugging in.
Don't suppose anyone else has any advice to share?
Always hopeful..

Crank sensor

When it cuts out unscrew your filler cap and see if it gulps for air poss blocked tank breather , worth a check even to cross off the list

So further updates:
Changed crank sensor, nothing changed, still cuts out at almost same time.
Tried running with fuel cap off just in case breather blocked... Still failing as above..
Can't be much more to change now... I'll keep googling...

Has he got a fuel pressure gauge in the line to watch pressure when it cuts out?

Good morning,
All great replies, yes and no.
So yes he knows it's fuel starvation and no he hasn't had a fuel pressure gauge in line (yet) I'm about to let him know.
I've just ordered a fuel regulator service/repair kit..
I'll keep you posted and many thanks again for all your comments and support.
Cheers

Hi if you’re going through the trouble of replacing the FPR buy genuine, it comes with everything needed I believe and isn’t a nice job to do

Agree some times you can end up causing a fault with repair kits just buy a complete unit n bolt it on if it doesn’t fix it u can be 100 percent it’s not that

Good morning,

Update time.

Fitted the Fuel regulator repair/service kit.

it's run for a full 1 hours test drive yesterday and all good.

Don't want to speak to soon though, I'm getting it back this weekend hopefully and will test it properly.

Fingers crossed and I'll update again soon.

Various none related codes like the air con etc, the only one of any relevance was the Crank Sensor so that was changed.

Another update:

So since last time i updated we have managed to stop the TDG cutting out after 7-10 minutes, this time we swapped the fuel fliter housing, even though we had swapped it 18 months ago, so yes it now does not stall, however the latest woe is it loses power after 50mph.
i have no idea what to try next seems i've done everything, has anybody else had the lose power issue and fixed it ??

Always hopeful.
Thanks,
