Hi Folks
I have a TD5 Automatic, it's been utterly reliable for my Mrs picking all the Grandkids up from school for the past 18 months.
Started without heat first touch of the gear engaging with the flywheel, starter contacts pitted so just a click and no engagement, I fitted a brand new starter, the engine now turns over very healthily, but the engine won't start. An auto electrician came out yesterday and robbed me of £75 quid and all he said was that there was a zero reading on his diagnostic machine for the crankshaft sensor.
I don't buy it that the sensor went down at the same time as changing the starter.
Immobilizer and all other electrics checked out OK, he finally said he thought it was the instrument binnacle that was faulty, which I also don't buy.
HELP, HELP, HELP.
