In a rather embarrassing situation today my td5 110 just decided to loose power. I dropped gears but the power just dipped further and further until I had to pull over and it stopped dead.
Would not start so I left it 5 minutes. Primed the fuel system by pressing the throttle 5 times and let it do its thing. The fuel pump has always been a bit whiny but I can live with that for now.
After much cranking n pressing the acceleration she finally came to life.
Is this a case of air getting in the system?? It has randomly cut out after a cold start once or twice too. With some effort to eventually get her going.
I'm looking a wiring loom and injector seals. Would this be a good place to start??
