Good evening I'm relatively new to posting on these forums so if I've posted this in the wrong area I apologise in advance.

I'm new to Defenders I purchased a 2002 110 hardtop TD5 specialist vehicle with 200000 miles on it. It has had the egr valve blanked off. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these are and explain why they were unplugged. I have plugged them back in with no apparent problems. I was just wondering if I should unplug them or not?

Many thanks in advance.

I see you've had the EGR valve removed from yours, judging by the bit of manifold I can see. The devices on the wing would have actuated it. They don't serve any purpose now, hence their being unplugged. Some people remove them. Although I have removed the EGR from mine I've left the actuators alone in case I ever need to refit it.
