Go test drive some and see what you like! Don’t be afraid to try a Freelander they will surprise you :)

2 TD5’s I had were very slow with LT44 gearbox but loads of power what I needed at time and very reliable up to 150000 miles, newer one 2006 with reverse the ‘wrong’ place is quicker

Many thanks for ideas, I had thought of Freelander. Problem being need a vehicle I can use for gardening jobs some weekends and carry bikes/ weekend camping escape the rat race for two children wife and self defender 110 utility or Station wagon seems to tick all the boxes ,.

Hard to fit decent strimmer in 90 (you have to poke it over front seats no room then) and had to take a wheel off fit adult bicycle in there. I used them for gardening/forestry/agricultural work mainly short boot was issue on times.

110 will carry the lot comfortably.

Freelander is good for gardening work in week, kids and shopping on weekend. Not sure about all together you’d have to keep putting seats up and down or taking things out to maybe?

I have not had chance to put theory of 2xchild,2xadult bike in back of a 110 just had idea if I remove middle seat from second row this should be enough room hopefully, not keen on the bike carrying frames I have seen on back of some vehicles.
Anybody tried 4xbikes in a 110???.

I’m thinking my only option for the D2 is one of the spare wheel mounted frames. Like you say though, not sure how much I like the idea of droid bikes hanging off the back!
