Hello, guys
My 1 hole head gasket has gone;
Cylinder head tested and is ok (no cracks). Valves checked and new stem seals fitted;
Cylinder head slightly skimmed by a professional, in order to get a perfect surface;
Valve seats untouched though;
I was told that the next thickness head gasket should go in, which normally would be the 2 hole one, but as I can see, for the Td5, the 2 hole (1.20mm) is thinner than the 1 hole (1.27mm), and the 3 hole (1.35mm) might be too much for the amount of material it was machined off. So, with this 3 options only, I was advised to keep whith the 1 hole hg.
What's is your opinion?
Btw, any of you have experience with BGA head bolts? All others are too expensive and I've read in several places that BGA is a good quality brand.
Thank you!
