Evening people,
I’ve got a discovery 2 TD5 that has a misfire under load. It starts first time every Time on the button and ticks over absolutely spot on! Once driving you can drive it forever up to any speed as long as you ease it there ( very slowly) but once you plant the accelerator at any speed in any gear it goes into an very harsh + rough misfire that can only be reset once the car is turned off. So far I’ve changed
- injector loom
- intercooler hoses
- all injectors + washers
- no oil in red plug
- turbo wastegate actuator is free
- it’s boosting absolutely fine
- fuel pump
- fuel filter
- tried 2 different ECUs from working trucks
- changed boost solenoid
- tried new crank sensor!
I’ve had it plugged in now numerous times on nanocom and Hawkeye and the only issue we see is that cylinder 1 had a slight imbalance, Iknow the ECU would compensate for this but surly not this bad?
It’s getting to the point where I’m throwing endless amounts of money on this thing and it’s getting me absolutely nowhere! ( although a few of these parts did need changing anyways )
Nanocom is showing no fault codes apart from the wheel speed sensor which I’ve been assured from a few people wouldn’t give me the issues I’ve been having!
Any help that you could throw my was would be very greatly appreciated! Thankyou all!
