TD5 chip

I am totally new to Landrovers -this is a really stupid question but if a TD5 has had an upgrade chip fitted where would it be and how woul I know what it has been chipped for either economy or speed power - thanks in advance for your patience

It will be fitted inside the ecu.
You wont know from looking at it what its been programed for.

Do you know if yours has been done ?
What year is your car ?

I think it has been done as its very quick of the mark its a 2000 model
