Td5 britpart top hose

Ok so i ordered genuine thermostat and top hose the stat is the top hose is britpart.would you fit it. i have experience of their useless clutch kit i bought.and heard some good, more bad feedback.
anyone used one and found it ok/not

No I would stick with genuine top hose. Bought a britpart in error and it was of poor quality in comparison to genuine part. Stat wouldn't worry me too much. I fitted aftermarket on mine and had no issues.

Some parts on a Disco you can get away with britpart bits, but I wouldn't chance it on a top hose, TD5's don't like overheating

you ordered both genuine? does the part number end in a g or oem?

if so it's fine, else i'd stick the pipe on and see how it goes, they aren't *that* bad (i hope)

So you trust an aftermarket Thermostat which actually controls the temperature but wouldn't trust an aftermarket rubber hose?

Seems backward to me

i would but i do test thermostats before i fit them and i do do daily visual checks in the morning ,and monitor any work done over time till happy its ok

I'd have no problem with one once I've tested it (In a pan on the stove) either.

It just seams odd that some one would trust an aftermarket stat to control the temp but then not want to take the risk with a bit of rubber hose. I'd have thought it would be the other way round if you were going to insist on OEM for anything.

I fitted a britpart top hose, had to bin the stupid clamps and put some proper jubilee's on to stop it leaking, and the crap plastic bleed screw sheered so got an ali one.
