Td5 Air Conditioning Problem?

I've just bought a 2005 Td5 110 from a friend [here in South Africa - but not that hot at the moment] (with 71,000 km on the clock) and have to say I'm dissapointed with the air conditioning.

Is it usually fairly weak?

If so, can it be improved?

If not, what it the likely maintenance?

Thanks for any help.

I've driven them around on very hot days in UK and had to turn the AC down as it was too cold, so I suspect yours needs looking at.

get an aircon guy to check it for leaks and re-gas....mine works damned fine.

The a/c on my Td5 is v. effective. The main thing to remember about a/c is that it must be run regularly to keep the various seals lubricated. If this isn't done the seals dry out and the refrigerant escapes.
