Ive had a constant problem with me 2002 defender since i got it a while before Christmas and its narrowed down to this.
Goes into limp mode when accelerated passed 65ish.
not a problem with the MAF sensor.
Actuator moves MAXIMUM 2mm at high revs.
very little black smoke when revved like this.
Brought it tho the mechanics last week, he reckons its seized, but seeing as it definitly moves a bit i reckon its wound up to the last.
Are the above symptoms typical for an actuator thats been opened fully by some **** or is it more likely to be seized, and if it is seized can i 'unseize' it
