My TD4 (Bmw engine) would not start the other day....
Had it towed to the local Agent (choice of one)
In the first instance they diagnosed that the neg battery cable was at fault (65)
Then they took out my 'synergy' system that was confusing the diagnostic m/ce and now they tell me I need sensor MHK101060L that is a temp sensor? and another air mass sensor BMW part 13712247592 (MHK101130L) despite the fact that there is a fairly new 'Piersburgh' maf in place which when matched with the 'Synergy' gave me a little extra power.
Question:- Should I have confidence in them or do I ask them to refit everything and try the TD4 for a couple of days as before but with the new Negative strap.
Any other suggestions would be sorely welcomed.

i would get them to put things as they were and try it, hope you get it sorted
