Hi guys and girls
I've been sitting here most nights searching over this forum and its have helped me an amazing amount but it's time now to ask for some ideas and help as its getting expensive
Basically it a 2003 TD4 Freelander
It began taking a while to turn over ... upto 1 min or so. Once started it drove very well
After about a week or so of odd starting times, it just wouldn't fire into action (had 1/4 tank of diesel at this time, lowest it had been)
firstly the Fuel pump under the wheel arch was changed and with a bit of easy start it fired into life and ran for a day or so (without using easy start again), starting better than it used to
Next it went on an hours journey and after being switched off it refused to start the next day
Bump starting etc.. a friend managed to get it going (not sure what he did as i wasn't there).
But as soon as the revs went past 1000 it just cut out
So a couple of hours ago, i tried the leaky injector test.. found out 2 of them were leaking. luckily sourced some up and swapped them over, It started first time and within seconds... but as soon as the revs go past 1000 it still dies...
Engine Idles fine, no smoke etc
Can anyone suggest where to look next, could it be the Fuel pump regulator or even the high pressure pump its conected to ? could it be something other than the fuel supply?
Also tried unplugging the MAF sensor and this did nothing
Any help would be appriciated,
Sion
