Hi Guys...Have to replace the clutch on my 2002, TD4.
I have a set of alignment tools but cannot find an adapter which will fit the Clutch plate splined boss precisely.
The diameter I need is .865" and if needs be, I can get an adapter which is slightly larger turned down to suit. What I am looking for is the diameter of the flywheel bush-also known as the spigot bearing, bore. I have a selection of these adapters but wish to make sure that I have the correct size before I start the job.
If anyone has details of the size(s), any information would be gratefully received.
Likewise, if anyone has a gearbox lying out of the car and they could measure the diameter of the small spigot end of the gearbox input shaft, that would be fine.
Keeping my fingers crossed that someone will come up with the goodies.

Found a photo of the gearbox on the web and there is no spigot on the input shaft, just the spline.
I should be able to line the clutch plate up.
If anyone has any useful tips, I would be pleased to hear them.
:)
