Hi all, I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that the cooling fans are cutting in when I start up even though it's been minus degrees in the mornings & the FBH has been rightly cutting in, I also noticed if I turn the blower fan off the cooling fans don't cut in so I suspected it was air con linked (air con not switched on). I plugged the Foxwell in & a pressure switch fault was logged. Does anybody know where to get a switch as LR have discontinued 'em:rolleyes: & also if the other faults logged are pressure switch related. Thanks in advance.

The AC will come on automatically, if the blower direction control is set to the windscreen.
If the AC puts the fans on slow, then the AC is functioning as expected.

That's interesting as I've only ever had the fans cut in when the air con button is pressed/ illuminated. So when screen direction is selected does the air con operate but without the button illuminating? I know the wifes Galant our old 08 Focus, my daughters Fabia & Kia Rio (& probably countless other vehicles) all do as you say, with blower on & direction for the screen is selected the air con automatically comes on & in turn the air con button illuminates.

I was thinking of rewiring the switch pilot light to come on when the compressor clutch is powered. This would prove a/c working, pressure adequate and clutch relay functional.

It would also light the switch on demist.
Not difficult to do.

Yeah it should have been wired like that in the first place but typical of LR 'always leave something for the owner to do':)
