TD4 2001 Remove Rear Passenger Seats

Is it possible to take out fully the rear seats on my TD4 Station Wagon ? I know they fold up but for that little bit more room I want to take them out. I thought the brackets were held in by the torque screws (t40) but there appears to be a black Rivet type thing holding that in.

I really need some quick advice to take them out and I dont have a Haynes. Ive done a search but to no avail, I need to do it for next Saturday as i got a 400 mile drive to Leeds with a few dog crates int he back and right now I cant fit them !!!

If they are the split type then follow this
Rear seat - LH
Remove
1. Remove 2 Torx bolts from seat hinges. (Front of seat heel board)
2. Fold seat forward and remove 2 Torx bolts from
hinges.
3. Remove seat.
Refit
1. Position seat in vehicle and align hinges.
2. Fit Torx bolts to seat hinges and tighten to 25
Nm (18 lbf.ft).
3. Lower seat.
4. Fit Torx bolts to heel board and tighten to 25
Nm (18 lbf.ft).
Rear seat - RH

Remove
1. Remove 2 Torx bolts from seat hinges.(front of seat heel board)
2. Fold seat forward and remove 2 Torx bolts from
hinges.
3. Remove seat.
Refit
1. Position seat in vehicle and align hinges.
2. Fit Torx bolts to seat hinges and tighten to 25
Nm (18 lbf.ft).
3. Lower seat.
4. Fit Torx bolts to heel board and tighten to 25
Nm (18 lbf.ft).

Thanks Boobodag , They are 2 seperate seats , 1 a single and another a double. They fold up and lock with Yellow handled lock things. the The LH seat is the single and is held by one torque bolt on the hinge part but when undone the seat does not move. I will go out and take a look to see if I have missed anything more. I will try take a picture if that helps , as they say a picture paints a thousand words !!!

Ok forget that last post , i went out and had a look , i never noticed the ones on the front heel boards. i will have a go tommorow but im 100% confident It will be done now . Thanks very much boobodag

If you did it like me then you may end up going past the point of no return with your seat belt inertia reel. It's fiddly but the reel does come apart. There's two very small pins in two of the seemingly useless holes on the large black side of the reel - push them out and then two clips that need freeing. Once off it's a laborious but successful reset by holding back the toothed 'switch' and pulling out a bit at a time. Took me two minutes to remove the seats and two hours to fix the damn seat belt!

The trick with the seat belts is to pull the belt out say 12 inches and stop it auto feeding back it. Then fold the seat and take out. When putting the seat in don't allow the belt to feed back in until the back section of the seat is vertical. Allow the 12 inch to then feed back in. If the belt roll over trip mechanism trips when yer take the seat out... feeding the 12 inch of belt back in when the back section is vertical will reset it.
