Below the fuel filter and pump, situated under the "electronics box", there's a 5-way plastic connector where 5 fuel lines connect. This connector has mysteriously broken and according to my local agents cannot be bought separately.

A total new fuel line "harness", including this connector, is offered at an obscene price.

Is there anything special about this connector, as it seems very straightforward to have a replacement made up by hard soldering some brass tubes together?

I get conflicting views from all the so-called experts in my vicinity.

I would appreciate any expert advice and/or first hand experience on this matter.

You realise that the original question was asked 9 years ago?

But is it happens, the question was asked again recently. So hopefully the latest person to ask will see this.
