i know this has been covered before but i cant find the answer i need.both the tc and abs lights are on and the bloke i got the freelander off(back in dec)says the brakes have been done but the abs lights need resetting.if this is the case how do i get it done but if not, then what could be the cause..i have checked the brakes and they have loads of life left...but i do have squeaky rear brakes..could this be the problem....please guys any help at all is needed....cheers btw the dreaded mot is on sat...wish me luck:tea:

The Abs light has absolutely nothing to do with the condition of the brakes!! You will probably have an electrical problem with one of the Abs sensors or the brake light switch. It's often best to get the Abs computer read.
Oh and if you have a warning light on for the Mot it will probably fail!!

Had the same problem recently when I got the rear bearing done.at first they said it needed reset but then it turned out to be a faulty abs sensor

As Nodge just touched on the brake light switch, ours started that with TC and ABS lights on, they would randomly go on and off as you used the brakes, turned out to be the brake light switch, Land Rover now supply a modified harness for it too....
A scan of the ABS will tell you tho..
