Well I have been sorting out all the small faults on the car ie CV joint, rear tailgate lock not working one side, passenger door not opening from inside....... Yesterday the heater packed up so look at Rave cd and find that the car has 2 blower motors so the drivers side must have packed up some time ago and it was the passenger side that had now failed. So I started with the passenger side as it is the easy of the 2. Removed the glovebox and under dash took out the motor and tested it only to find out that it was working ok. Next put it back in and turn on ignition and still not working (hoping that I had desturbed a wire). So start to remove the drivers side under dash to get to the blower motor, find it and unplug the connections to it. Turn on ignition to find that the passenger side blower motor is now working
go to check passenger side motor and put a screw to hold it in place. Time now to remove centre dashboard to get to the back of the HEVAC unit. Eventually get to the unit and remove all connectors and clean and plug back in. Turn on ignition and now have no blowers at all again
Getting the ump now and its now 4 o'clock and starting to get dark so decide to put it all back together. When I have finnished turned on ignition only to find that the drivers side blower is now working and still is. Passenger side will have to wait but any ideas from you all????????? I could not find any loose wires so am thinking that it might be the HEVAC contol until playing.
Thanks Craig
