take out those wade plugs NOW

Just been out lanning HERTS area one of the crowd had the misfortune to brake his cam belt , took out his wade plug to check .half a pint of dirty water followed ,my gess is it rotted the belt less than 10,000 mls so dont be lazy and leave the plugs in , Iam going to ghange my ways now

How did the water get in there? The plug is supposed to stop it.

sounds like someones case gasket isnt that good

, your spose to run with them out anyway ( unless your going wading )

No you aint - read the LandRover manual - they is supposed to be removed every 600 miles to check. How can yu do that if they aint fitted?

Leave 'em in and check regularly. Always check soon as possible after deep wading. That way you wont lose them and they'll be in situ when you need them so you wont forget.

The only puddle near my Disco at the moment is the puddle of diesel that squirted out of the lift pump......awaiting a new one
