P38A Tailgate seal coming loose

Hi all, I am having trouble with the tailgate seal. It keeps pulling away from the metalwork as its a very tight fit to get it seated all the way around, it either comes away by the rear lights or the upper corner. Would something like Tiger Seal applied to the valley of the seal work to hold it in place?

Has the metalwork been bent or damaged?

Refit starting at the top and work down both sides, you may end up with a small gap between the 2 ends at the bottom but that doesn't seem to matter.

The seal is all in one with no end, that is why its tight.

Mine has a joint at the bottom, I suggest you cut it.

I think it was @Henry_b that was a fan of TigerSeal but where he put it I cannot recall.

I used Gorilla Glue on drivers door seal upper fwd corner, the stuff you have to wet to activate, stuck better than Sticky the stick insect stuck on a sticky bun
