Tachometer in a 90?

Hi, I'm in process of tidying up my dash and was wondering if anyone has fitted a tachometer/rpm gauge to there landy? I've got a 90 with a 300tdi and heard that you can wire one up to the alternator? Also thinking about oil pressure gauge?

Any aftermarket rev counter will work, ya just take the feed off the W connector on the back of the alternator

Would connecting to alternator also work for a 200 Tdi, always fancied one of those raptor pods on top of the dash with a few extra dials
