Hello,

I am really not sure what its worth, but I'm about to put my Series 3 SWB 88" 1983 up for sale and I wondered if anyone could tell me what sort of price I should ask for?

Its been sitting for quite a few years and will need some work on the brakes and lights to get it through the MOT.

It has the original 21/4 diesel engine which starts and runs very well. It had the short engine reconditioned (Turner Engineering) about 10 years ago and has done little mileage since.

A new galvanised chassis was fitted by the previous owner. All the doors and bonnet are sound although there is some rust and holes on the foot wells and bottom of the door pillars. The underside looks quite rusty but most is surface/cosmetic which should clean up pretty well.

Any advice would be very grateful.

Thanks,

Justin

ive got a 109 tax exempt s3 station wagon, 13 months mot, on a galv chassis, fully rebuilt 2.25 diesel, new rad, battery, alternator, excellent tyres all round and paid £2500 which I thought was a steal

so yours has no mot, isn't tax exempt and needs work.... given its on a galv chassis I would put it about 1200-1500

and oddly enough I have exactly the same cubby box lol

Why not put a bit of effort in and tidy it up and get a test on it ?
You could double your money.

Valuing cars is not difficult; pen and paper, check ebay, autotrader, gumtree etc and work it out from there. Something with no mot reduces its value more than you think. Back of landy magazines is about right too
