I have a 1998 Suzuki Vitara and would like to buy some more powerfull
headlight bulbs. I have seen some 12v 100/90W bulbs (normal ones are 12v
50/50W i think) advertised but wondered if they would blow my fuses?? Can
anyone help? Thanks

First off they are illegal on road - not that you are likely to get stopped
..
probably would blow your fuses more important the extra heat generated may
cook your wiring and or headlamp reflectors if they are the plastic variety.
If you want more light output get some premium xenon halogen units the
difference is well worth the money and they just fit the standard fittings
and dont produce any more heat or load .Ebay shops sell them quite cheap I
bought Phillips from Halfrauds when they were on special but there are
plenty out there

Not so AFAIK - there is an EU directive (I think) that says you can have
whatever wattage you like as long as you do not dazzle other road users....

Gordon ([email protected]) gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying :
